Different But the same
About the Book
As an educator, I spend countless hours searching for books to help me answer difficult questions posed by the children in my daycare. After having difficulty finding developmentally appropriate literature for my classroom, I embarked on a journey to write the books I was in need of.
In Different But The Same, both adults and children explore timeless themes of empathy and understanding. The story’s plot centers on a young boy’s questions about the differences he observes in others. The journey he embarks upon during the story illustrates the diversity in our communities and illustrates the importance of empathy, understanding, and generosity.
This book is a valuable tool that provides children and their adult caregivers a model for positive social behavior by shifting the focus from the things that divide us to those that unite us. Our protagonist's journey reminds us of the most important commonality that unites us all: Love.
